3D Interactive Icon Design
During my internship at Punchcut, I was given the freedom to create a project that included my personal passion and interests.
My final design was a combination of 3D simulations and real-time interaction, creating a visual piece that evolved in time and in response to users' input. Taking the 2D icons as reference and inspiration, I used Touchdesigner to build the 3D version of each icon and embedded interactive functions into the simulation. The final results were screen recordings of me interacting with the icons in Touchdesigner.
Special thanks to my mentor and senior directors for their design guidance and support!

Augmentd Peple icon represents the enhanced sensory experience allowed by technology. The eyeball in the center has particles emitting from the iris. Its sight always follows the users' mouse movement.

Inspired by mechanical globe and the 3D axes of XYZ, the Immersive Space icon is made of two circles rotating around the central sphere that also cast the boundary for flowing particles. Users can drag their mouse to change the direction of the particles.

Autonomous Devices icon protrays the motion of data streams within a device. By dragging the sliders on the side, users can rotate the icon in 3D space to see it in different angles.

Inspired by the spiral pattern in nature and mathematical rules it embodies, the icon of Pervasive Services represents an all-emcompassing design appraoch. Users can change the number of arms of the spiral by dragging the slider
